Don't assume the work has been completed just because you were told it was. After you receive notification and see documentation (receipts, invoices, etc.) โ€“ check it. There are multiple ways to do this:

  1. You can inspect the work yourself.

  2. You can pay your inspector to verify the work is complete.

  3. You can hire a contractor or inspector to verify the work is completed if you desire verification from a neutral 3rd-party who was not involved in the original inspection or work performed. Some prefer this method to be sure nothing was missed, especially with high priced or highly skilled repairs.
